The importance of that tomb, Ankhtifi, is due to the fact that it is an archaeological tomb that dates back to the period of its water and anthem to the era of the 10th Dynasty, meaning that it was built during the era of the First Intermediate Period.

Who is Ankhtev?

● In fact, Ankhtifi is one of the most important and powerful of those personalities who were in charge of the Jakan during the periods of rule in the Ninth Dynasty, and that was especially during the periods of rule that can be described as “mysterious” during the reign of King Neferkare.
● Also, his tomb was actually decorated with a group of drawings that were characterized as having a regional or rather strange character, and his full and lengthy biography was inscribed on it in all its aspects.
● It is that biography that was already filled with the presence of a large and important group of information on how the government began in the era of the first transition.
● Baafgla Ankh Tefi also held the position that made him the ruler of the province of Nakhn, and that was a successor to a group of other rulers at that time, such as Hotep.
● He was also chosen by the ruling pharaoh of the country at that time to assume the position of ruler of all the provinces adjacent to the Pharaonic city of Edfu so that he could restore the stability of both order and security in the country, in the midst of uniting all those disturbances and disturbances that were prevalent in that era of time.
● He had already accomplished that task with great success, and succeeded in including in his professional and practical career the province of “Elephantine”, and after that he was entitled to the title of director of foreign countries, and at the same time the title of director of armies.
● Not only that, but also Ankhtifi succeeded during the periods when the country was in famine in feeding not only his region, which he ruled, but he also succeeded in sending grain to Dendera.

● In fact, this cemetery is located in an archaeological area called Al-Mualla, which is one of the most important archaeological areas that greatly endangered our name, and then it was considered the cemetery of any belonging to all the rulers who were present in the third region of the southern regions of Egypt.
● This cemetery was also attributed to the periods of government in the era of the first transition, and it is an ancient cemetery located to the north of the city of Esna, that is, it is about 15 km away on the eastern bank of the Nile.
● It is also famous for the presence of two very important tombs belonging to the rulers of the third region, and that was during the periods of the ruling era during the era of the first turmoil.
● The tomb of the ruler Ankhtifi is also considered one of the important tombs, rather the most important tombs that were built in that period, because it already contains a large historical record regarding all those important events that took place in the region during his reign and the period of his rule.
