● These ruins of Hawaweesh are located approximately 10 km east of Sohag, and approximately 7 km from the archaeological city of Akhmim in Sohag.

● Some of these inscriptions pertain to those funeral scenes and scenes of offerings and all matters of daily life such as dancing, hunting and completing agricultural operations in the ancient Pharaonic Akhmim region.
● While only about five tombs of all of them are still preserved even the mother in its ancient archaeological form very well.

● In fact, many, but most of those archaeological tombs were devoid of any kind of these inscriptions except for a few or some of them that were decorated with a number of scenes that express the administrative life or daily life in that era.
● The inscriptions also disappeared from the very important political and religious role of that ninth province, and a group of texts related to the records of specific families and a number of professions that those families had previously practiced.
● And those tombs were all actually carved when they were built in the rock. They also had a number of imaginary doors, and a group of hieroglyphic texts were written on them.
● Not only this, but also all its walls were decorated with a number of scenes and hieroglyphic texts that represented a group of titles and epithets belonging to the owners of those ancient tombs, both of their mothers and a number of their sons and wives.
● This is in addition to the presence of archaeological inscriptions related to the tables on which offerings of various shapes and sizes are presented, and in addition to the presence of a number of these hieroglyphic texts on how to make offerings.
● Not only this, but all of this, in addition to the presence of inscriptions and writings expressing the scenes of daily life, which depicted the owner of that archaeological cemetery while trying to carry out hunting operations in the bush area.
● Or a number of scenes related to boats carrying the funeral furniture of the owner of the cemetery, or at the same time the process of slaughtering a group of bulls and then harvesting wheat in the city and other most important scenes that actually depicted how the wild life was in the mountain area.
● Such as the presence of a group of inscriptions of goats when climbing the branches of a group of trees, some of them as if they were quarreling with each other, or the distinctive view on those walls of the owner of the cemetery while he was leaning in the inscriptions on a stick in front of him as if he was watching a unique scene of bullfighting.
