During your visit to the church, you will see the impressive pulpit of the church, from the fifth century based on 15 prestigious columns. On either side of the pulpit is a cross depicted on three steps symbolizing the three days Jesus Christ was in His tomb and Resurrection.

There is also an icon of St. Mark on the south wall of the main church, and St. Mark is the first patriarch of Coptic Orthodox Church.

There are also a total of 110 icons in the Hanging Church, the oldest of which is the Coptic Giaconda , dating from the 8th century AD, representing the Virgin Mary, Jesus Christ and Saint John the Baptist, and many symbols of the massacres that date back to the 18th century AD.

There is a gate in the southeast corner of the church leading to the oldest part of the building, which has three shelters on the east side. The shelter in the center is called St. Dimiana, to the left St. Tekla Himmanut (an Ethiopian saint), and to the right is a shelter in the name of St. Andrew.

There is also a mural on the eastern wall of the church showing the birth (birth of Christ), next to a second mural of 24 men depicting the end of the world.
