Al-Khayamiya Archaeological Street starts from Bab Zuweila and ends at Al-Qalaa Street, where it is divided into 3 sections from its beginning to the corner of Abd al-Rahman Katkhuda al-Khayamiya, the corner of Abd al-Rahman Katkhuda al-Mughriblin and the third corner of al-Surujiyya.

Abdul Rahman Katkhuda Mosque

The corner was built in 1754 AD, corresponding to 1142 AH, in the Maghreblin neighborhood. The corner is characterized by an architectural design with a façade that contains 3 cornice arches and windows with wooden grilles in the Ottoman style. Each lunar arch is topped with distinctive wooden grilles.
The façade is topped by a stone balcony used for the muezzin. The Abd al-Rahman Katkhuda Mosque was built in the era of the Ottoman states during the reign of King Ali Bey the Great.
The mosque was designed in a rectangular shape, where you will see a wooden ceiling decorated with carvings and floral drawings in the Islamic style, in addition to the Qibla portico containing 3 bayonets.

Prince Jamal Al-Din Mahmoud Al-Istadar built the mosque in 1395 AD, corresponding to 797 AH, during the reign of Sultan Faraj bin Barquq.
At the top of the entrance, you will see a special window for lunar lighting above it, with windows on the letter T in English. The minaret was designed in the Mamluk style, as it has a light ribbed middle body and is topped by an inverted qelah-style gossip based on 4 columns, in addition to a half cylindrical hull.
You will see a dome of a shrine decorated from the outside with horizontal glass decorations on circular peat.
Al-Kurdi Mosque is located in the Al-Darb Al-Ahmar section of Cairo Governorate.
