Abdeen Palace Museum

Abdeen’s palace was closed after the revolution of January 25, 2011, but in 2016 the palace reopened after restoration and the museums inside the palace received everything they needed.

The palace currently has five museums:

1- The War Museum (Weapons Museum) was built by King Farouk, and the museum displays a variety of weapons, including several Egyptian weapons belonging to King Farouk and several small arms.

2- The Peace Museum (Museum of Presidential Gifts) and founded by former President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak in 2005 to show several presidential gifts and property of the Mubarak family, in addition, contains several royal medals of honor.

3- Royal Museum: Contains many properties of the royal family, exhibits several gifts, dishes and restoration items in stained glass, gold and silver, and the museum has a different collection of royal medals.

4- Museum of Historical Documents: The museum presents several important and confidential historical documents from different eras.

5- Cairo Abdeen Palace Silver Museum: Added to the Abdeen Palace Museums in 1998, it contains a number of rare personal silver belongings belonging to the family of Mohammad  Ali  Pasha.

Visit dates: The palace can be visited from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00   p.m.  every day of the week except Friday.

Ticket prices vary between Egyptians and foreigners, so the ticket price for Egyptian or Arab students is 20 pounds.

Foreigners, the price of a ticket is 100 pounds, 25 pounds for a camera or mobile ticket for foreigners, and 5 pounds for Egyptians.
