Mausoleum Abou Moslem

Sheikh Salem ibn Youssef al-Hamdani, who died in 645 Ah during the reign of the king (Al-Saleh Najmeddin Ayoub), who lived above the tomb of the sheikh, was attributed to a mosque.

The mosque has a gate in each of its ribs except for the qibla wall. The building of the existing mausoleum dates to Ottoman times.

 

Sadat Quraysh Mosque

It is one of the remaining monuments in Belbes, and it is likely that this mosque will be one of the first mosques established in Egypt at the time of the conquest.

The renovation and reconstruction of the mosque over the ages, the last of which dates to Ottoman times, was rebuilt by Prince Moustafa al-Kashif in 1002 Ah.

The mosque consists of a rectangle with three rows of marble columns that divide the mosque into four corridors parallel to the Qibla wall. The capitals of the columns are different in shape and style, indicating that they were taken in several places, and the columns bear  pointed arches with the exception of the middle arches on the axis of the qibla, which are semicircular and larger than the rest of the columns. Each arcade in the qibla wall comes with a three-hole jellyfish-shaped window. The wall is in front of each portico also has a similar window. The rest of the mosque is demolished and only the minaret, whose door is attached to a marble slab of 57 × 55 cm, is engraved with the following text:

This blessed minaret was established by Prince Moustafa al-Kashif in the east during the holy month of Shaaban months ago in 1002.
