• The god Thoth was considered ancient by the ancient Egyptians as the god of wisdom, but rather as their teacher of writing and arithmetic.

• The ancient god Thoth was the link between the gods of good and the gods of evil, and there is a legend that includes his struggles between good and evil.
• Where he went through 3 conflicts, and the first battle was between the god Ra and Abi.
• While the second battle was between “Hero Bikhott” and “Set”.
• The third conflict between Horus, the son of the god Osiris, and his uncle “Set” who killed Osiris.
• In those struggles, the first god was the one who defended against evil and tried to protect the order of the universe, while the second was trying to corrupt the earth and spread chaos.
• Thoth’s role in those conflicts is to treat God if any serious injury occurs to him so that one of them does not overcome the other.
• Of the myths that also included the god Thoth, the myth of Isis and Osiris, and his role was limited to giving Isis the words that she could by reviving her husband and giving birth to him.
• After the son of Isis and Osiris, the god Horus, came a battle between him and his uncle “Set”, and in that battle, Horus lost his left eye.
• But, thanks to his advice, Thoth was able to quickly treat his eye and recover it, and it is said that Thoth is the god who fulfills the will of the god “Ra”.

• At the beginning of the god Thoth, Maat was in order in the universe and truth as well as justice, while Thoth was the one who carried out the will of Ra.
• It is said in a legend that Thoth was the one who divided the year into 365 days, after it was 360 days.
• This is because Nut, who is the wife of Ra, was not pregnant in those days, and therefore Thoth bet with the moon on a portion of its light and was able to gain additional days.
• In the five new days, Nut, the goddess of heaven, was able to give birth to Heru-or, Osiris, Set, Isis, and Nephthys.
• Thus, there was the so-called Tulti calendar, which was used to know the months and days of the year.
• The first month in the Egyptian year was a month called Tut, Thoth, or Thoth, all of which are the names of the god of wisdom and recording the accounts of the dead.

Attributes of God of the Wisdom

• The god Thoth possessed a set of functions and tasks that he played in the ancient Egyptian religion.
• Where he was the mediator between the battles that take place between good and evil, and he used to keep the other party not defeated.
