During the last quarter of the19th century, interest in papyrus began to be particularly well studied by scientists, researchers and scholars, due to its importance in uncovering the mysteries of history and deciphering it.

About the Egypt Papyrus Museum in the History of Ancient Egypt

Papyrus has developed considerably over the years, since an Egyptian farmer, in 1824, found two papyri inside a small pottery pot, next to the pyramid of Sakkara listed in the region of Guiza, where the French consul in Cairo, Bernardo Drovetti, decided to buy them, and then handed them over to the famous French orientalist Baron  Sylvestre  de Sassi,  which published them in a famous French journal called “Journal  des Sciences”, thus becoming the first documented scientific publication of an Arab preacher.

The ancient Egyptians were the first to discover the papyrus plant, and they made papers out of it to write, and the discovered papyrus dating from ancient Egypt shows precise details of everyday life, and there are many pharaonic papyri that have revealed to us the progress of the ancient Egyptians in various sciences, especially medicine and pharmacy.
