Also, he had already derived the name Abusir from that famous ancient Egyptian name in the Pharaonic era, Bar Osiris, which meant the seat of the worship of the god Osiris.
We also find that the Abusir archaeological area includes the tombs of all those kings who were the rulers in the Fifth Dynasty, including the distinguished pyramid of King Sahure and the pyramid of King Nefer-Ir-Ka-Ra, or known as Kakai.
And many of the various ancient, uh, ancient Pharaonic pyramids, in addition to, of course, the presence of the sun temples, as it included the sun temple that belonged to King Userkaf only.

AbuSir Pyramids

● It is also worth mentioning here that those ancient pyramids were almost completely demolished, as the core of the pyramids in that area had been built of mud bricks. While the temples were still standing today because they were built using stones.
● There were also a number of pyramids in the archaeological area of Abu Sir, all of which belonged to pharaohs, rulers of the Fifth Dynasty.
● This archaeological area was located in the south of Giza and north of Fayoum as well, that is, it is located on the western bank of the Nile River. The kings of the Fifth Dynasty and the pharaohs of that period chose the area where the Giza Plateau had already been crowded with the presence of those giant pyramids that had been built by the pharaohs of the Fourth Dynasty.

Valley temple at Abusir

● In fact, the valley temple located in Abusir, which is attached to the pyramid of Sahure, had two harbors. We find one of them facing the east, while the other was facing the south.
● The length of this ancient temple is about 40 meters from the north to the south, and its width is approximately 30 meters from the east to the west.
● But let us emphasize a very important matter, which is that the valley temple in Abusir is now almost completely ruined, but the lower part of it, which represents the ascending path to the pyramid, which is the part that reaches a length of approximately about 235 meters, is the part that is still preserved until now .
● This road also connects both the valley temple, which is located on the beach, to the mortuary temple that is already established next to the pyramid area directly.

Funeral temple

● In fact, the mortuary temple of King Sahure in the Abusir area begins with the entrance, which is a place that can be said to be completely ruined, but despite that, it is known to us now that both its floors and walls were made at that time of limestone.
● Also, immediately following the entrance is the presence of this open archaeological courtyard, whose floor had been made of basalt stone, which is characterized by being very hard.
● Its walls were made of limestone, which was decorated with the presence of those inscriptions that represented this king, and he was able to succeed in being victorious over his enemies.
