● In fact, the ancient Ghuwaita Temple, which is one of the most important archaeological temples in history, is located in the New Valley region of Egypt.

● And that designation was already recorded on that southern wall in the Hall of the Columns in the temple, and it was also registered on that facade in the door leading to the area of the Hall of the Holy of Holies.
Inscriptions and columns of that temple
● In fact, the columns of the Roman style were already evident in the features and inscriptions of the Ghuwaita Temple.
● Also, the oldest inscriptions in that archaeological temple indicate that the era of its construction actually dates back to that late era of history, and it was specifically present in the Persian era (during the periods of the twenty-seventh dynasty).
● Also, at that time, a royal cartouche was discovered that was written on it in red, and it also contained the name of the king written on it, which is King Darius the First.
● However, from the rule of the Ptolemaic era, there were some other cartouches bearing the names and titles of a number or some of the Ptolemaic kings, such as: King Ptolemy III Euergetis or King Ptolemy IV known as Flopator.
● This in itself indicates the interest of these kings in the past in this ancient temple, and then the work of renovations and a number of additions through all those different eras.
History of the Ghweita Temple
● In fact, after the occurrence of the matter, the discovery of that residential area in the area north of the temple, which dates back to the era of the Second Intermediate Period, that is, during the era of the 13th dynasty until the 17th dynasty.
● Accordingly, it is believed that the history of the construction of this ancient temple is due to a very early date or from the ancient Egyptian civilization.
● Since the process of renovating the building of that temple may have been carried out on a group of ruins of an old temple that was built back to historical periods in ages much older than that of the Persian period.
● Where there was a small door, but at that time it was located to the north of the entrance from the current entrance gate, and it might actually be the entrance to that ancient temple.
● What may reinforce this historical opinion is that the end of the lintel in this door was located almost at the same level as the floor of the current temple gate.
● This indicates that there were indeed ruins of a number of buildings located below those existing buildings.
